Carnival of Chaos: A devastating tragedy exposes a web of corruption... (Basilica Diaries Medieval Mysteries Book 4)Carnival of Chaos: A devastating tragedy exposes a web of corruption... by Richard Kurti
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

1508. On the ship Speranza 293 bodies were found, and only one escaped. The ship's cargo was presumed to be heading to Rome as cheap labour for building the St. Peter's Basilica. On hearing of the deaths Pope Julius II instructs Domenico Falchoni, his head of security, to investigate. Helped by his sister Crustina, sometimes too naive, and arrogant which does make her at times unlikeable, and his deputy Tomasso.
An entertaining historical mystery
