July 1941. The Homefront Sleuths have realised that Evie is missing, but Harry and Nigel are sent to Clarion Castle where the first under-butler has been killed. Concerns have been raised as Churchill is due to visit. Together they must find Evie, solve a murder, and its possible threat to Churchill.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its cast of interesting and very likeable characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
