Foul Trade by B.K. Duncan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
March 1920 London and May Keaps is the Poplar Coroner's Officer. Then a body of a young man is found which leads to the underworld of murder, gambling anf opium dens.
May being a determined and opinionated young woman does not always appreciate the help she is given in the pursuit of evidence.
This is a well-written enjoyable start to a series.
