When Lord Hawkridge inherited the virtually bankrupt family estate due to his father's debts he gives up the penniless trade born girl he loves. Ten years later he meets her again. Can either forgive not just themselves but the other to start again or are there still too many obstacles.
A good story with some interesting characters, and although a standalone novel it does have connections to the previous books in the series.
