Death of a Courtesan by Wendy Soliman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1870 London and Detective Inspector Rochester and Sergeant Salter, of Scotland Yard’s Detective Department, are called to the brothel run by a Mrs Cora Sinclair. One of her girls has been found murdered. As the case progresses they learn more of the background of the victim and more suspects come to light.
A very enjoyable well-written mystery. Certainly helped by containing some well-rounded characters.
