Bruce McLintock is at his lowest ebb when he is resuced by friend Detective Chief Inspector Archie MacPherson. Months later is is working as a private investigator waiting for his first case when a blackmail victim employs him.
An enjoyable well-written mystery from 1972. A good solid start to what I presume is a series.
