Removing themselves from their home and problems Lord and Lady Calaway (Theodore and Adelia) arrive at Mondial Castle. The home of one of their daughters and her husband, John Haveringham, Lord Mondial. But they soon find their rest disturbed by a killing which also inflicts injury on Mondial. The Calaways decide to investigate.
An enjoyable well-written historical mystery with some likeable characters. A very good solid start to the series.
