She Died Unshriven by David Field
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1571 Nottingham. Servant Amy Brindley has gone missing and now a body of a murdered female has been found. Coroner Sir Henry Grenville is determined to bring the proceedings quickly to a close as he believes he knows who the guilty party to the murder is. But Constable Thomas Lincraft believes that Anthony Featherstone, the Squire of Lenton Gregory and fellow Dissenter is innocent. He has a week to find the evidence to convict the correct person.
An enjoyable historical mystery, which is a good solid start to the new series.
