In this Pride and Prejudice sequel, Mary Bennet is attacked by resurrectionists at the Parsonage where she was staying under the guise of Dr Townsend, her secret identity is then discovered. John Barrow, investigator is asked to find her family, by the parson Seth Shackleford.
Thankfully Barrow knows the Darcys and the Bingleys and of the disappearance of a sister six years previously. But now placed in the Darcy household in London what does happen to her life now. Barrow is then employed by Lord Rodale to solve the mystery of his birth. And what is the connection between the resurrectionists and Lord Rodale, if any.
An enjoyable well-written story, a mixture of romance and mystery. Another re-read.
