The Fifth Knight by E.M. Powell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
1170 AD Canterbury. Five knights have been sent to kill Thomas Becket and retrieve the young Sister Theodosia and her mother Sister Amelie. The fifth knight is young Sir Benedict Palmer who is hoping that this job will make his fortune, if only he knew all the details before his acceptance.
This is their adventure. But what is so important about the Sisters, what is their secret.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery. A good start to the series.
