A Killer in King's Cove by Iona Whishaw
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1946. Ex-intelligence officer Lanette (Lane) Winslow has arrived in King's Cove, British Columbia, her new home. But the peace of the community is disturbed when a body is discovered. Soon when she becomes the chief suspect in Inspector Darling's investigation she decides to investigate the crime herself.
An entertaining and well-written cozy historical mystery. A good start to the series.
