1796. The Fanshawes are visiting her brother Dr Patrick Hathaway on the death of his wife. Unfortunately sons Ben and Tom Hathaway discover the murdered body of Justice Hector Penkevil. Lady Fan investigates but the suspects are many as the dead man was universally disliked.
An entertaining historical mystery.
