Alibi: World War Two Murder Mystery by Eileen Enwright Hodgetts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Ralph Pemberton, a married man and father has a weak heart and has been accused of looting. A hanging offence in the time of war (1940). The nearest help is an articled clerk named Toby Whitby. Ralph refuses to give an alibi for the time, but Toby seems determined to investigate.
An enjoyable and interesting crime novella.
