The Long Dead by John Dean
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
An archaeological investigation at a WW2 prisoner of war camp outside of Hafton in northern Enbgland, discovers 16 bodies in an unmarked graves. The forensics conclude that 15 died during a flu epidemic just after the end of the war, but the 16th was much more recent.
DCI John Blizzard and DS David Colley lead their team in the investigation.
An enjoyable and interesting well-written mystery, with a bunch of likeable characters. A very good start to this series and I look forward to reading the next.
