Years previously a Professor Snaill discovered a golden cross in a cave, but a voice threatened his life. Then a second cross is found in the churchyard at Dulhan in Sussex. While crossing the Atlantic back to England a group including the Professor and Father Brown wish to known the story of the curse.
An interesting mystery.
