Mr Aylmer before he married adopted a young boy John Strake. Then his marriage produced three sons who on his death contested the will that left everything to Strake, and won. Then the two eldest brothers died, and the youngest Arnold demanded police protection as he knew that Strake was coming for him like his brothers. The Police Medical officer asks Father Brown to talk to him to access his mental health.
