Four young females start the climb up Goat Fell on Arran. When three of them turn back they seem unconcerned about their friend, and it is not until some hours later that the rescue team are called in. Unfortunately they find her dead. D.I. West and her team are called in to investigate with the unofficial help of retired James Munro.
An enjoyable mystery, likeable characters and an easy writing style make this and the rest of the books in the series an entertaining read.
