In the will of Professor Ronald Gilpin, he leaves a message for his son Victor - the location of a family heirloom. Can Victor find in himself the answer to find this missing heirloom. But Victor's increasing mental problems are pointed out to him, and exasperate his search.
An interesting journey following a man's struggles, though I was hoping that the book would be more of a mystery story.
