Long shadows by Derek Thompson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
DS Wild, two weeks into his transfer from London to the Wiltshire countryside, is called out to a suspicious death. That of sixty-eight year old Alexander Porter. Missing from the scene is the shotgun that was used, and his walking stick.
DI Marsh is in charge of the investigation. But it seems Wild has other concerns relating to a past case in the Met.
Do events from the past have any bearing on this present case.
An enjoyable and well-written crime mystery. With its bunch of likeable characters it is a good start to the series.
Received an ARC from the publisher
