In this P&P variation, in Meryton, the Militia have gone rogue. Strangely not one single man thought to secretly ride to town and inform the authorities. But Elizabeth Bennet stupidly confronts them, is kidnapped and sent to London where she escapes and fortuitiously lands right into the hands of the Darcys. Who with help from the Colonel save the day. A pity that the Colonel ended up with the wrong partner.
