Penitent by Pete Brassett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
While DI James Munro is supposedly recuperating, DI Charlie West has been left in charge.
Eight years ago 64 year old Flora MacDonald disappeared, but her body has just been discovered, up a chimney. Munro is interested in the case. Meanwhile West and her team are investigating the murder of Nancy Wilson, found fully clothed in a swimming pool.
A entertaining well-written crime story with its team of very likeable and varied characters.
