1911. It's Lady Emily Hardcastle's 44th birthday and she is celebrating the event at the Duke's Theatre in Bristol. As the second act opens a body is discovered on the stage. Inspector Sunderland, a guest, asks for the help of Emily and Florence Armstrong as he is not convinced that Inspector Wyatt is up to the job.
