Death at the Wedding Feast by Deryn Lake

1768 John Rawlings travels to Devon to await the birth of his child with Marchesa Elizabeth di Lorenza. There he meets Lady Sidmouth, who’s cousin, twenty year old Miranda Tremayne is to marry the rich seventy two, Earl of St. Austell.
Unfortunately the first death didn’t come until after half way through the book, so really not enough of a mystery for me.
