A Pride and Prejudice sequel, it is now September 1814. Lord Castlereagh is on a mission to Vienna, when his courier, Matthew Baker, goes missing at Lambton. Colonel Fitzwilliam and Major Ashton are staying at Pemberley but this event takes them to London, with Mary Ashton and Georgiana Darcy. The rest of their relations remain as part of a scheme to reconcile Lady Catherine de Bourgh with her married daughter Anne Chandler.
Another entertaining and well-written story. A very good addition to this mystery and romance series.
