On his death she has applied for and been accepted to work as a legal assistant by Sir Peter Spencer owner of Morton Abbey. But strange things are happening, noisies, and crying from a long dead child. Is someone trying to frighten her away. She even becomes suspicious of the nearest ‘perfect’ village .
An entertaining and well-written Victorian Gothic mystery with its interesting and varied characters
