Valens, captain of a merchant ship tells Morvoren, Dumnonia's priestess of two deaths that occurred on the voyage from Constantinople. The captain believes the deaths are of natural causes but Uxio, a Christian deacon does not agree. So he and Morvoren investigate.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery. A good addition to the series.
