Homeless Jacob Montfield is discovered dead by ex-policeman Jerry Maloney. But why was he wearing a bulletproof vest. DI Tremayne and DS Clare Yarwood investigate. But it turns into something other than a straightforward murder case.
An entertaining and well-written crime story, well-plotted and with its likeable main characters. Another good addition to the series.
