Murder at the Ritz by Jim Eldridge
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1940. A body of a man is discovered in a room in the Ritz, belonging to one of the entourage of King Zog of Albania. Is there a connection to the rumour that Zog has £2m in gold bars in his suite. Then local gang members are being given killed, but why and by whom. DCI Edgar Coburg and DS Ted Lampson investigate.
An enjoyable historical mystery with its likable main characters. A good start to the series.
