In this Pride and Prejudice variation a fire (probably caused by Lydia) results in the destruction of Longbourn and the death of Lydia and Catherine. Mary is blinded and her face burnt. Sent to stay in a cottage Elizabeth and Mary try to cope with little help from their selfish and useless family, until discovered by Darcy.
