In this Pride and Prejudice variation, as Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam cannot afford to marry for love without a dowry he accepts an assignment which promises him promotion and better pay. Unfortunately the person he needs to prove is a traitor is the French lady of his thoughts.
A well-written, delightful romance with its share of intrigue.
