Imposter: A World War Two Mystery by Eileen Enwright Hodgetts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
May 1952 Brighton. A body has washed up on the beach, without hands, but secretary Anthea Clark swears she knows him as Michael Cheviot. Problems arise when Dorothy Findlay wants to claim child support from Michael Cheviot who she says is still alive. Enid Trewin Cheviot says her son, Michael, is still alive. Toby Whitby's investigation with the help of Detective Inspector Slater leads him back to events nearly fifty years ago and in-between.
An enjoyable and interesting well-written mystery story
