The Murder in Mirth by Heidi Ashworth
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Christmas 1814 Lord Trevelin and oldfriend Mrs Mildred Smurthwaite have been invited to a Christmas house party by Lady Charlotte of Maison Chien. But when a dead body is discovered Trevelin's reputation is against him as he is accused of the crime. These rumours have been spread by his evil cousin Evelyn who is also at the party. Can Trevelin ever have a happy ending.
An enjoyable and well-written end to this historical trilogy.
