Sir Adam Bagot summons Sir Faucon de Ramis - the Keeper of the Pleas- to Offord as his father by marriage, Sir Robert Offord, has been murdered by Lady Offord, Sir Robert's third wife, or so he prefers to believe. But the evidence is somewhat lacking, but it does seem as theft as been committed.
Very enjoyable well-written murder mystery.
