This short Pride and Prejudice story begins just after the Netherfield Ball when Elizabeth has refused Mr Collins offer of marriage. Stung then by Mr Darcy honest marriage proposal and remembering Collins words - that it would be unlikrly she would ever receive another proposal - Elizabeth accepts Darcy with her own honest words - that she will marry him without affection and for his status and wealth. Can these two over the next few months find happiness.
