The story of Pride and Prejudice's Anne de Bourgh begins a few weeks before the annual visit of her cousins, when she will also meet Elizabeth Bennett. This is Anne's story, of her mother's attempt at match-matching and of Anne's friends. Can there be a happy ending with such a mother.
