1932 Village of Farthering St.John. Drew Fathering is drawn into a new case when the family solicitor, Quinton Colman Montford, is discovered dead, a note attached to his body with a hatpin. But he is not the last. Chief Inspector Birdsong tolerants Drews' involvement.
An entertining mystery though I would have preferred the story without the romance and the Madeline character.
