The Holmes family, which includes a fourteen year old Sherlock, are off for the summer to Paris. What in Mrs Holmes past has made her fretful, what secrets are there for Sherlock to discover. But soon a old friend is killed.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery. Another good addition to the series which can easily be read as a standalone story, with its cast of likeable and varied characters.
