DCI Tom Mariner is called out to a car crash, the driver is dead but a concealed body was discovered in the car. Following an incident with an alleged criminal he is also under investigation by the IOPC. Meanwhile a forty year old cold case in Norfolk has retrieved his statement, and so he decides to spend a few days helping DCI Ginny Reid. But will either of the cases be solved.
An entertaining and well-written mystery. Another good addition to this series with its likeable main characters.
