Private investigators Mrs Annabel Churchill and Miss Doris Pemberley of Compton Poppleford, are asked by friend Tryphena Ridley-Balls to investigate the death of her 99 year old father. Local Inspector Mappin leads the official enquiry into the death.
Still didn't take to the main characters or the sense of humour in the story.
