February 1941. Edie York and work colleague Ethel Cooper out walking discover a body at the bottom of a cliff at Birchcroft. That of peace activist Joyce Reid, owner of Athena House, home to her bohemian friends. Deciding on writing her obituary Edie discovers that two evacuee children have gone missing. She decides to ask questions in both cases.
An entertaining historical mystery.
