Saving Grace by Wendy Soliman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It's England 1851, plans are believed to be afoot to steal the Koh-i-Noor diamond on show at the Great Exhibition.
The Home Secretary has assigned to Jacob Morton, the Earl of Torbay, and his team the task of stopping the theft and discovering who is the mastermind behind it. They believe that a merchant by the name of Woodstock is involved but not who he reports to. But changes need to be made to their plans when Lady Eva Woodstock witnesses a murder and runs away from her husband.
A re-read of the first in the series as I now start to read the rest of the previously unread series.
An entertaining well-written romance and mystery story.
