Inspector Furnival Investigations
1. The Abbey Court Murder (1923)
Lady Judith Carew, wife to Sir Anthony for the last two years and the ex-governess to his sister has had her peace disturbed by the appearance of her presumed dead first husband. Then a murder occurs in the Abbey Court apartments.
Apart from that I could not find any sympathy for Lady Carew and took a dislike to Peggy Carew, it was an enjoyable mystery
2. The House in Charlton Crescent (1926)
1920 Lady Anne Daventry (70) believes someone is trying to kill her and so she employs a firm of Private Inquiry Agents to investigate while one of them works as her secretary- Bruce Cardyn.
3. The Crows’s Inn Tragedy (1927) Solicitor Luke Bechcombe is visited by his brother-in-law Reverand James Collyer as he wished to sell the Collyer Emeralds, only told they are paste. Shortly after Bechcombe is discovered dead. What is the motive and who is the guilty party

4. The Man with the Dark Beard - 1928
Dr John Bastrow, widower, is found dead in his locked study.
I didn’t find most of the characters likeable and it was quite easy to spot the guilty party.
5. Who Killed Charmian Karslake? - 1928
The morning after a ball at Hepton Abbey, Meadshire, the home of the Penn-Moretons, one of the guests is found dead. American actress Charmian Karslake is discovered in her locked room,shot.
6. The Crime at Tattenham Corner - 1929
At Tattenham Corner a body is discovered in a water filled ditch, that of a man who has been shot. What is the connection to the running of the Derby, if any.
7.The Crystal Beads Murder - 1930
The body of Robert Saunderson is found in the summer house at Lord Medchester's country mansion of Holford Hall. A few crystal beads from a neckace is discovered on his body. Does it give a clue to the murderer or is it planted evidence.

Overall an entertaining set of mysteries
