May 1923. Major Lennox has just returned home when he is informed that a neighbour at Ashton Hall has been killed. He and ex-DCI swift investigate. But soon there is another death.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable main characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
