April 1868 Mother of Hadrian Becket, the Earl of Ravenhurst employs Matilda Wren to investigate medium Mrs Deborah Frost of the London Spiritualism Society. Is she a genuine medium or a fraud. Soon mediums are being killed. Who will be next and why. What of Becket's secret gift, or is it a curse.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery with its likeable and interesting characters. With its amiable supporting cast. Another good addition to this enjoyable series.
