1792. The MacPherson are staying on their estate. While attending a ball a neighbour, Lady Catherine Ashton is killed. Though suspects are plenty, the timing makes it impossible for any of them to be guilty.
An enjoyable historical mystery though Ishbel seems to becoming unlikeable.
