The Gentleman Detective: A Cosy Victorian Whodunnit by Evelyn James1898. Colonel Bainbridge and his annoying niece Victoria investigate when Franklin Ward is arrested for the murder of boxer Simon one-foot. I found the characters especially Victoria too annoying to finish.
