1881 Whitechapel. Marie has fallen on hard times after the death of her husband and now works as a prostitute. Until the night she meets a handsome stranger who she is instantly attracted to. When he offers her a contract to be exclusive with him she cannot refuse. But doubts surface about who he really is.
Note - mature content throughout the book.
I really enjoyed this story of the flawed Marie, it certainly kept me wondering until the end.
