Ex D.I. John Tyler is spending time with distant cousin Martha who is researching her family tree. But she is found in her room at the B&B where she is staying, stabbed. Leading the investigation is D.I. Mike Croft, friend to Tyler. Soon they discover that Martha is not her real name or who she appears to be.
Although the fourth in the series this can easily be read as a standalone story.
A very enjoyable well-written mystery, with its interesting story and characters.
