Sherlock Holmes and the Mayfair Murders by David Britland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
When three respectable young females are murdered in Mayfair, Scotland Yard does not consult with Sherlock Holmes but with a Dr Karl Schermann a 'expert' on psycho-graphology and friend of Lady Bradford, the wife of the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police.
So Holmes entertains himself with various small cases including investigating Dr. Karl Schermann but will this lead to solving the Mayfair cases with its increasing body count.
An enjoyable and well-written Victorian mystery story.
