Miss Phoebe Beecham, daughter of dissenting minister of Chapel Crescent in London, and the former Miss Phoebe Tozer of Carlingford goes and visits her Tozer grandparents back in Carlingford. This is her story, of her trials and tribulations and friendship with the church minster's family the May's.
An enjoyable re-read of this Victorian story.
